Less than one week ago I’ve been one of the lucky speakers at the 11th Scandinavian Software Configuration Management Day in Lund , Sweden.

In the whole academic world there are only 3 university courses on this subject, one in Brazil and the other two in Denmark and Sweden, both hold by Professor Lars Bendix, creator of the Scandinavian Software Configuration Day.

Taking part in the summit was a great opportunity to share knowledge with the best experts in this sector.

I introduced CM into my company process two years ago but today our system is comparable with one of the leading financial services in Denmark which has 10 years of experience in this topic.

Another focus was on the importance of involving people and sharing knowledge and skills across the team, in the so-called DevOps and Agile philosophies.

Startup are empowering a new way of developing software, where teams are liquid and collaboration and flexibility are the path to success.

Italian experts are working to create our own Italian SCM day to push some innovation change in this country.
A couple of “draft” meetings took place last October and April and we are all looking forward for next October for a more concrete event organization.
